Benchmark Reminder
Sorry to interrupt this beautiful Sunday!
Tomorrow all grade levels will take a Reading Language Arts (RLA) benchmark test starting 2nd period.
All athletes will still report to their practice/athletics period per their coaches' instructions.
This is like a practice STAAR test. It allows us to determine students' needs before the real thing gets here.
1st period teachers and testing hall monitors will help direct students to the correct testing rooms.
And a little reminder:
A little bit of tension is ok. It helps us to perform our best in most situations. It isn't something to be avoided; it's extra energy for your brain and body!
If you feel really nervous and get sweaty, nauseous, hot, or shaky, you aren't alone! Together, we can work on some techniques to help turn your stress level down before the real test. Consider putting in a counseling request on Classlink.
For now, remember this is just practice. Take breaths. Take a couple of breaks, and do the best you can.
See you tomorrow!
